Kan'nushi Jay delivered the sacred New Years day blessing and everyone took part in Sugi (cedar bow) oblations.
Many of the shrine fellowship were here, while others joined on-line from other parts of the world. The sacred words were moving as the impact of what the dragon represents in our lives was made that much more clear. In general the enriching magic of the dragons benevolence, strength, wisdom and most importantly its hidden knowledge that is up to us to explore and define. Answers can be found through vigilance in the face of adversity. In all levels of our lives, we are called to find appreciation and gratitude as benevolently brave beings.
Usagi Jinja is a Shinto Shrine where faith is centred around the belief that the Great Spirits teachings are discovered and discoverable in all facets of our lives. The believe is that through prayer, meditation, and acts of service, we can connect with God and find purpose in our daily existence.
