Your baby’s first Shrine visit is a ritual to ask that the child be announced to God as having been born, and asks that your child grow healthy and safely.
Traditionally, this ceremony was usually performed within the first month of life, however taking into account health and weather considerations, 2 months has now been the accepted norm.
けっこんしき Kekkon Shiki
Shinto wedding ceremonies are conducted by a Kannushi (Shinto priest) and are well regarded due to the solemn atmosphere of the Shrine and the manner in which the Kannushi will conduct the ceremony.
