Our Faith is an inner knowing, beyond anyones reach of proof.

Jay Kan'Nushi

Shinto: the spirit in all things way.

Jay Kan'nushi

“Truth is none of us need to work so hard to become spiritual. We are spiritual right from spirit itself; you need only to remember that fact. Spirit is within us all. God dwells within us.”

Jay “Také” Creasy is currently a Kan’nushi (Shinto priest) studying with

 Ito Chihiro of Japan.

A Kan’nushi , also called shinshoku, is the person responsible for the maintenance of a Shinto shrine as well as for leading worship of a given kami. The characters for Kan’nushi are sometimes also read jinshu with the same meaning. Originally the Kan’nushi were intermediaries between kami and could transmit their will to common humans.

Founded 20 years ago by Kan’nushi Jay Creasey, this shrine is one of the few true Japanese Shinto shrines outside of Japan, and the only Shinto shrine in Canada.

Usagi Jinja (Rabbit Shrine) offers spiritual services as well as operates three yearly festivals. Please visit our writings section to learn more about Shinto.

" A Taikokyu a Day Keeps the Doctor Away "

Taikokyu

Taikokyu combines: Tai (体) body and Kokyu (呼吸) breath. Which helps you take care of yourself. These unique movements provide the missing link to our overall health and wellness. Utilizing the nerve meridians called Keiryaku Chosei (経絡調整), we move through both 早朝修法 and 均整修法 morning and evening austerities and prayer.
